Where Did Grandpa Go? was written to fill that gap: a gentle, honest, faith-centered story that helps children understand that goodbye isn’t the end of the story, and that love — and grandpa — are closer than they think.

Written and illustrated entirely by JoAnna Oblander, Where Did Grandpa Go? follows a child’s journey through the loss of a beloved grandfather, offering:

• Age-appropriate language that doesn’t shy away from real grief, but doesn’t overwhelm either
• Illustrations created by the author herself — warm, personally created art meant to comfort rather than frighten
